Infectious Disease
Following the Points to Consider documents of the Food & Drug Administration, ImQuest will evaluate the efficacy, toxicity, range, and mechanism of action of test molecules in cell-based, biochemical and molecular assays. These compounds can also be evaluated in combination with other approved and experimental inhibitors and tested for resistance development potential. Analyses include in vitro selection, phenotypic and genotypic characterization of drug resistant viruses, and the evaluation of resistance engendering mutations on viral fitness. Customized assay development capabilities allow evaluation of test compounds in ways that focus on specific mode of action.

Cancer
With extensive experience in the development of anti-cancer agents, ImQuest employs a diverse panel of human cell lines to evaluate compounds for selective antiproliferative and cytotoxic activity. Cell-based, biochemical, and enzymatic capabilities are used to address each step of the pre-clinical drug development pathway, novel assays derived to explore molecular anti-cancer targets, and expertise utilized to develop assays for the in vitro evaluation of therapeutic agents on intact cells and the functional immune system. Xenograft and other customized animal models are used to provide a rationale for clinical development.
